Luxembourg Atlas:
Silence in the city.
Officially called The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, this country is located on the west edge of Central Europe, surrounded by Germany, Belgium, and France. Mainly composed of lush forests and mountains, its geography hardly varies. A green landscape where sporadical urban areas and the namesake capital appear. A country where its peculiar history can be read in the Citadelle’s walls.

Luxembourg by expectation.
The best seasons to explore The Grand Duchy are spring, summer, or autumn. Despite being a small country, there are plenty of things to do, starting from the charming capital city and its Citadelle, with their timeless splendor. And when the warmer times arrive, the musical atmosphere is revealed by festivals and concerts!
Its trustworthy public transport system will become your best friend, with an extensive and excellent rail network and bus service offering all kinds of Luxembourgish and international routes daily!
Noteworthy: The bus service in Luxembourg City is for free since 2020.
This country is considered one of the safest countries in the world, and even if our only adventure in Luxembourg was a quick break in Luxembourg City, we can assure you that we never felt threatened or unsafe. Anyway, as we always say, you should always beware of the place you are at and keep an eye on the circumstances.

Beware of details.
The most important details you should think of when traveling never change. So, if you want to be ahead of any problem that you could encounter while abroad, check these 5 unforgettables:
· Credit Cards & ATMs: The first thing you should consider if your usual currency isn’t Euro (EUR), is to use an app (you can contact us for further info) that allows you to exchange and withdraw money from the ATMs at the minimum rate. If this isn’t an option, make sure to exchange either at your bank or as soon as you arrive in Luxembourg, and always bring some cash with you, just perhaps. If possible, it’d be wise to use your credit card whenever you get the chance.
· Type of plug: In Luxembourg, the plugs are type C and F, with a standard voltage of 230V and a standard frequency of 50Hz. We recommend buying a universal adapter (make sure it has surge protection).
· Documents: The required documents to travel to Luxembourg will depend on your home country, but we always recommend bringing your ID, driver’s license, and passport with you, as you never know what can happen and if you’ll need them! Also, make sure to have a scanned copy of every important document on your phone and a printed copy on your luggage.
· Insurance: First, call your bank and ask them what your credit card or account type covers when purchasing a trip with it. You have already done this but want to take out travel insurance that covers every aspect of your trip? Then keep in mind that the insurance type and price will depend on the place and length of the trip, the people traveling and their age, and the activities you plan to do.
· Medical prevention: It is necessary to check the medical terms of the country or even continent you are traveling to upon entrance. Depending on your home country, you may be required to fulfill some medical terms such as vaccines or tests. Also, make sure you bring a basic first aid kit and prescription medications you may need (every medication must come with the relevant prescription and instructions).
